GONE FISHING CAKE

I was excited to do my first fishing theme cake.  I could have easily gone overboard with this creation but I decided to make it simple for a simple 80 year old man:)  The cake is 1/2 vanilla and 1/2 chocolate as requested from his family.  I was deciding between white, green or blue for the background of the cake as I was visualizing different designs.  One designed included fishing off the dock, in a small pond or fishing in a boat.  I was not given much direction of how the design of the cake should look like.  I was only told to create a cake that had a fishing theme.  So, I finally decided to choose the one with the boat because every time I went fishing with my family, I would always see fishermen in their modest boats fishing.
