Making Jersey Cakes are fun to me because I get to make one for another team! This time, I was asked to do a Maple Leaf Jersey Cake for one little fan! For this cake, I had to use two different sized square pans. For the larger pan, I cut about two inches on one side and transferred that piece on the bottom to make a rectangular shape. Then I cut the smaller cake in half to make the arms. I cut the top part of the large rectangle into a triangular shape so that I can place the arms in the right position. I guess the only main challenge to this cake was icing the cake with buttercream. It felt like I was crumb coating rather than icing it.
