So.... I was asked to make a cake for twins!! A boy and a girl!! He loves basketball and she loves "girly things." The basketball was simple enough but for some strange reason, I couldn't think of any "girly things." What I did think about was candy, which is why I chose bright diagonal stripes. When I added the flowers, I still felt like something was missing. I decided to add the black vines just to make the colours POP out more.
I didn't want to overdo it with girly things so I decided to stop from there and let the simplicity of the design take over.
